Condolences Expressed for the Passing of Deputy Chairman of Gerindra Party Council

Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, has expressed his deep condolences for the death of Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Council, Desmond Junaidi Mahesa. Cak Imin mourns the loss of Desmond, whom he describes as a person of integrity.

“I am deeply saddened, may the late Pak Desmond Mahesa be forgiven for his sins, accepted for his acts of worship, husnul khotimah, and accepted in His heaven,” said Cak Imin in his statement on Saturday (24/6/2023).

Cak Imin reveals that he has known Desmond for a long time and considers him to be a good and modest person. They have been together since their activist days and have struggled together. In fact, Desmond was one of the victims of pro-democracy activist kidnappings in 1997/1998.

As the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Desmond’s dedication and integrity as a member of the DPR RI were beyond doubt. Cak Imin describes him as kind, dedicated, and having strong integrity. His contributions in the DPR RI are still felt by all to this day, and his loss is deeply felt.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III DPR RI, Desmond J Mahesa, passed away on Saturday (24/6) at 04.00 WIB. He was buried at the funeral home on Jalan Saco 1 Number 1 RT 1 RW 4, Ragunan, South Jakarta.

Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, that’s true.”

The passing of Desmond Junaidi Mahesa is a great loss for the political landscape in Jakarta. His dedication and integrity will be remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
