Party Gerindra open if PKB really wants to partner with Ketum Gerindra Prabowo Subianto and Chairman of the PKB Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin in 2024 related to a statement by one of the grandsons of the founder of NU KH Hasyim Asy’ari, KH Irfan Yusuf Hakim or Gus Irfan, who spoke about the ‘prediction’ of Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur about Prabowo becoming president in his old age. Even so, Gerindra stipulates that whoever his running mate, Prabowo will remain the leader presidential candidate 2024.
This was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman. He conveyed the principle of the Gerindra Party that whoever the Gerindra coalition is, Prabowo will be the candidate for president.
“For us, in principle, Pak Prabowo will run as a presidential candidate. So, whoever we form a coalition with, the presidential candidate is him,” Habiburokhman said when asked about his opinion on the duet with Cak Imin, Friday (6/5/2022).
Despite giving such conditions, Habiburokhman ensured that his party would maintain communication with all political parties regarding the vice presidential candidate Prabowo in 2024. This communication, he said, also includes the PKB, which is considered one of the political forces in Indonesia.
“Regarding the vice presidential candidate, we maintain good communication with all political parties, including PKB and many figures, including Gus Muhaimin. We respect them as one of the important political forces in Indonesia at this time,” he said.
Not only that, the member of Commission III of the DPR also assesses that all possibilities are still open regarding the Prabowo pair until the time for registration for the 2024 presidential election.
“All possibilities are still open until the time for official registration at the KPU,” he added.
