Concours Général Agricole 2022: 71 medal-winning Corsican products.

Started last Saturday with the final of the wines, the Concours Général Agricole 2022 ended on Tuesday 1^is March 2022. 71 Corsican products were awarded, including 49 for wines and 22 for products (honey, cheese, jam, olive oil, charcuterie, brandies), i.e. 26 gold medals, 36 silver and 9 in bronze. A vintage slightly above 2020 (66 medals).

While most products compete within their PDO (wine, olive oil, honey, brocciu), others compete with products from all regions; this was the case for jams, charcuterie, beers, aperitifs and brandies.

“The General Agricultural Competition is a great reward for producers and also allows collective communication, especially if the competition is open to a PDO sector.
A mention for the Corsican donkeys, who came 4th in the general competition in their category, for their 1^time participation.
The Regional Chamber of Agriculture sends its congratulations to the winners.”
