A solar eclipse will cover the North American sky on Monday, April 8. In Mexico City, the phenomenon will be partial and at noon, the moon will get in the way of the Sun to Earth and hide a part of the solar disk. At 12:14 p.m., in the Valley of Mexico, the eclipse will be at its maximum splendor at 75%, so it will look very similar to that of October 14 of last year, when the sunlight was hidden at 70%. The phenomenon begins at 10:55 a.m. and ends at 1:35 p.m.
In other states such as Durango, Coahuila and Sinaloa, the eclipse will be total, something that has not happened in Mexico for 33 years, when on July 11, 1991, the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Brazil and Peru could see the phenomenon for seven minutes, which meant a historic duration.
To be able to observe a total eclipse in the country again, Mexicans will have to wait until March 30, 2052 or September 23, 2071, so on this occasion different activities are being prepared in the places where the totality of the eclipse will be observed. phenomenon and in Mexico City.
