In dark times, creative solutions, that is what the Mexican group Enjambre proposed since the pandemic began, which is why, like many artists, they ventured into virtual concerts, and on December 18 they will offer a year-end concert for all his followers.
“We started looking for windows, then we discovered very interesting things in that search; It is unfortunate that you cannot play live, but alternatives such as these streaming presentations came out, and on the other hand, we took advantage of the time to finish compositions that were pending due to so much live activity, ”Luis Humberto Navejas told EL UNIVERSAL.
The concert, which was already recorded in his land, Zacatecas, will offer the audience images of the musicians walking through the city and talking about different topics with people.
“While they were setting up the team on the Cerro de la Bufa, we were in the city, walking through the streets, we visited beautiful places, they recorded us, they also interviewed us and we talked a little about the special and we had personal and historical data in those places that they are of significance to us, ”he added.
The writer also assured that no matter how complicated this year has been for music, they were also able to finish songs that they had pending and he, personally, was able to print Las ninjas bonitas, an illustrated poem for children, dedicated to his daughter. He has also been able to advance with other writing projects that, he says, are also his passion, although his priority is Swarm.
“I am making progress on a novel that I had started years ago and that I had not been able to continue, I hope to be able to print it in the middle of next year, I have a couple of children’s projects for next year, I hope there are interested in publishing it, but my focus is Swarm , and since Enjambre the plan is to keep making new music, we will possibly start recording new things in February ”, the musician said.
In the family sphere, both he and the other members of the band have benefited from the isolation,
“The truth is that we are family people and it had been a very busy few years, and we have families who understand our rhythm of life, but being able to be at home I have taken the opportunity to reconnect with my daughter, to spend more time with things. that I have been writing and that I have not been able to finish ”.
For this concert, the band took advantage of the sunset as the main light and from there they connect with several songs that have marked their work and that, they say, they hope will connect with the audience. “We thought it would be a good idea to play in special places for us, that’s where creativity comes in and it occurred to them that it was in the city of Zacatecas, which is the capital where we are from, from the Cerro de la Bufa, which is the symbol from the city”.
Tickets are available on the streamtime platform.
The concert will be on December 18 at 8:00 p.m. And the tickets have a cost of 169 pesos.
