Already in the Christmas spirit? In Unterallgäu, the contemplative time begins this weekend at the latest: an atmospheric reading, an Advent bazaar and the first Christmas markets ring in the pre-Christmas season. • Julian Schad and Max-Philip Klüser will play works from Mozart to Brahms to Ysaye, Sarasate and Messiaen at a violin concert in the Mindelheimer Forum on Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are available from the MZ card service on 08261/991375.

• On Friday, Geltelonia will celebrate its carnival kick-off in the Wiedergeltingen sports center. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is for ages 18 and up.
• In Markt Wald, the musicians celebrate the start of the carnival on Saturday in the TSV gym. Start is at 7 p.m.

• “On the move in your life with Kneipp” is the title of the lecture that Paola Rauscher will give on Friday at 3 p.m. in the Kurhaus in Bad Wörishofen.
• The Sebastian Kneipp Museum is devoting the entire weekend to its namesake with films.
