The cities of the Northern Alps will live to the rhythm of this music festival, this Tuesday, June 21. Many concerts are organized in Grenoble, Chambéry and Annecy. Here are the main events in the region and what you need to know to enjoy the evening:
Stronghold of music, La Belle Electrique opens its “Electronic Guinguette”, which will continue throughout the summer, this Tuesday. The program for this first evening mixes dj-set, reggae, hip-hop… There should therefore be something for everyone. The event on the esplanade is free from 6 p.m., and will end at midnight.
In Grenoble, the music festival resumes its quarters with many concerts organized in bars, parks and in the streets. Thus three groups, between rock, electro and tribal, will perform at the Bifurk cultural center, in the heart of the Flaubert district.
In the city center, an orchestra should perform at Place Jacqueline Marval, from 8 p.m. For those who prefer the saturation of electric guitars, WësMaguhl, a folk metal group will perform at 7 p.m. at the Rock Tavern. Another idea for an outing at 5 p.m., the fanfare of “La Mort Subite” will perform at the Common of Mortals.

The Isère prefecture has announced that the use and sale of rockets, fireworks and firecrackers are prohibited throughout the department between 6 p.m. and midnight.
For this 40th music festival, the municipality of Chambéry has chosen to use major resources. 97 local bands will perform across the city for the summer solstice.
Ten sound stages are installed in emblematic places of the city, such as the place of the Town hall, the place of the courthouse, the place of the Elephants… In all, fifty groups are distributed on 8 scenes of the city .
For more electro atmospheres, head to Carré Curial or Square Gilbert Durand. Eight dj-sets are spread over these two places. Finally, for those looking for a little more tranquillity, “acoustic zones” are organized throughout the city (place de Genève, place Saint-Léger, rue de Boigne and place du Château). In short, the whole city of Chambéry will vibrate to the rhythm of music from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., depending on the location.

Traffic on some downtown streets will be closed until approximately 1:30 a.m. The municipality thus advises to favor the bicycle or the bus to reach the heart of Chambéry.
The sale of alcohol to take away in local shops in the city center is prohibited from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m., Wednesday June 22. Drinking establishments can continue to serve until 1:30 a.m. in the event of tidy and closed terraces.
No single point, but 25 places to party, this Tuesday in the streets of little Venice. Many events will start at 5:30 p.m. in Annecy, but also in Annecy-le-Vieux, Cran-Gevrier, Meythet, Pringy and Seynod.
A large stage will be set up on the Pâquier and will delight fans of pop, rock, rap and electro throughout the evening. Other concerts are organized on Place Saint-François de Sales, the gardens of Europe, Place Notre-Dame.

Practical information
The prefecture has announced the implementation of additional security measures for the music festival this Tuesday in Annecy. The authorities want to avoid clashes like last year. Four police officers were slightly injured.
From Tuesday noon and until 8 a.m. the next morning, the consumption of alcohol on public roads will be prohibited, as will the possession and use of smoke bombs. Please note that the distribution, sale and purchase of take-out fuel will be temporarily prohibited.
Police and gendarmes will also be present in large numbers throughout the night. Firefighters and Red Cross rescuers will be engaged on the sites hosting the most public. Note that vehicle traffic will be prohibited from 6 p.m. in the historic center of Annecy.
