Each song alternates with recordings of Imantas Ziedonis’s voice – poetry readings and essay reflections documented at different times – thus taking the listeners on several flights of thought.

The thought concepts chosen for the performance were – children (friendship, which needs to be explored), city (this big prison), province (jungled territory in front of Riga as a genius or idiotic head with small, tiny hands and feet), spring (a dull, unpleasant season), road (you have to walk while wisdom begins to come through your feet), letters (you have to be a very cultured person to write letters), butterflies (the elusive, ephemeral creatures admired by Ziedonis) and others.

The special surprise of the concert is the portrait painting of Ziedonis, which lit up during the recording of the poet’s voice. It was created for this concert in collaboration between the painter Fandango Fontaines Kalitas and the artist Agnes Kaupera.
