The Lanxess Arena event calendar in 2025 has one more highlight. The American rapper Pitbull (43) will not only play his very first concert in the Cologne Arena on February 25, 2025 – it will also be the only German appearance as part of his “Party After Dark Tour”.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, is also bringing another well-known name with him to Cologne as support.

This refers to Lil Jon (53), who is considered an icon in his music genre Crunk and celebrated worldwide success with songs like “Turn Down For What” and “Shots”.
Pitbull himself was a successful artist in German-speaking countries, especially at the beginning of the 2010s. During this time, the rapper with Cuban roots contributed to countless successful songs. Examples of this: “I Know You Want Me”, “Give Me Everything” or “Timber”.

With the latter song, which he released together with singer Kesha, he even reached the top position in the German charts. He achieved this again with the hit “On The Floor”, which featured Jennifer Lopez as support.
The style of music can be described as a mix between rap elements and danceable EDM melodies, so that Pitbull was one of the most sought-after artists in many clubs around the world, especially in the early 2010s. In recent years, especially in Germany, things have become a little quieter around “Mr. Worldwide,” as he regularly calls himself in his songs.

Pitbull released his last album to date in 2023, but it failed to place in the charts. As part of his “Party After Dark Tour”, which started in August 2024, he is now bringing his best-known songs back to the big stage.
The rapper himself once said in an interview with the radio network NPR about the course of his global career, which began in his hometown of Miami: “Miami was practically the capital of cocaine back then.
