Visitors who have been vaccinated with an AstraZeneca vaccine are still welcome in the Broadway theater where Bruce Springsteen gives a long series of performances. In Canada, the news had been picked up that only concertgoers with a vaccine approved by the US drug authority were welcome.

Springsteen will perform at the St. James Theater from June 26 through September 4. A few days ago it was announced that only people with the vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are allowed to go to the hall. But another has since been adapted, according to the website of venue owner Jujamcyn Theaters – the old information can still be found via Springsteen’s own website. Now visitors must be vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the US FDA, or by the UN’s World Health Organization.

Since AstraZeneca is on the list of the WHO, concert-goers can also see a performance by The Boss with a shot from the British pharmaceutical company. That change has since been picked up by several Canadian news sites. Because Canada does use AstraZeneca in the vaccination campaign, Canadian music lovers could initially write a performance by Springsteen on their stomach.
“Burn in the USA”
The change dates from Friday, Canadian media said. The concert hall manager referred for the adjustment to adjusted rules of the state of New York. Earlier in the week, the Toronto Star newspaper jokingly wrote “Burn in the USA,” to Springsteen’s song and album “Born in the USA.” “The ‘show must go on’,” it read, “but if you have received a vaccine, you are not invited”.
Springsteen will perform at this Broadway theater from June 26 through September 4. All visitors must demonstrate that they have been vaccinated and have taken a corona test within 24 hours before the start of the performance. Once inside, mouth masks would not be mandatory and there is no need to take into account the one and a half meters away. Springsteen previously performed on Broadway in 2017 and 2018.
