The Hessischer Rundfunk and the Bernd Reisig Foundation invite you to the concert for people in need, which will be played by the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
On Thursday, September 14th at 1 p.m., the HR Symphony Orchestra will play a concert for homeless and needy people. The event, the first of its kind, is made possible by Hessischer Rundfunk and the Bernd Reisig Foundation. “To be able to contribute to something in this project that can bring some joy even to those in our society who have the hardest time is simply a great honor for us,” says HR director Florian Hager.
Under the direction of the young conductor Izabelè Jankauskaitè, the orchestra will present the piece “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra” by Benjamin Britten. According to the organizers, the piece is considered a classic in music education. The English composer is said to have composed it as a kind of deconstruction of its components: the instrumentation is practically taken apart and put back together in order to be able to hear and feel every facet of this spectacle individually and again together.

Those interested will be provided free public transport tickets for the event by the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main mbH (VGF). Food and drinks will also be served before and after the event. Flyers and admission tickets can be picked up at the following facilities:
