The Pimienta Selectoras Cultural Association is organizing the third edition of ‘La Chica Party 2024’, a concert for equality in the music industry, “a pepper event to make women instrumentalists and composers visible,” the organization reports. In previous years, it was the turn of reggae and singer-songwriters. It was finally the turn of rock. DJs, selectors and vinyl collectors could not be missing from the event. It is sponsored by the Equality Area of the Cabildo de La Palma and the City Council of El Paso.
It will take place on Saturday, September 14th at the Plaza Vieja in El Paso, La Palma, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The power duo Bala will arrive in El Paso from Galicia. Their style moves between intense rock and grunge but they also approach Stoner, hardcore or metal. Their discography includes ‘Maleza’ (2021), considered one of the best rock albums in Spanish and ‘Besta’ (2024). They have played at the major festivals in Spain and Portugal but also in Japan, Australia, the USA, Colombia or the UK, leaving their mark in places such as Stoned and Dusted or Rock al Parque in Bogotá.
The Canarian group Rita Dalton will act as the opening act with their rock’n’roll songs and heartfelt lyrics where women are the absolute protagonists. The Tenerife DJ Vicky Morales and the selectors from La Palma Moni Loff and Pimienta Selectoras will complete the line up of Chica Party 2024.
The party will also have a gastronomic area with beer, cocktails, a wine bar and snacks from Lava Eco Store and La Cernícala.
