54th fall for the legendary Chicago Blues Festival tour, launched in 1969!
Leader on this tour, one of the finest talents of the new blues scene, Stephen Hull, just 25 years old, accompanied by his group Trio Experience, who will join the ranks of the legendary Alligator label to sign a first album in 2024!
Arriving from Wisconsin, Stephen never received any particular musical training. Coming from a family where music is a companion of daily life, he picked up his first guitar at 14 and has never stopped since!
When it comes to influences, Stephen cites Albert King as his main influence alongside fellow legends BB King and Elmore James.
To accompany Stephen and his group, two other leaders of the Chicago scene, who have never participated in this legendary tour: Sheryl Youngblood and Dave Herrero!
Sherryl Youngblood has made a name for herself on the Chicago blues scene, with notable appearances at the June festival and energetic performances at every club in the city. She won a Grammy Award with her group “The Tommies”.
After 2023, there is therefore a new 100% new plateau for the 2024 vintage to be found in Rodilhan!
