Concert of the band Interpol in Santiago de Compostela as part of their tour “The Other Side Of Make-Believe”, their latest album
The Spanish tour of the American group will be motivated by the promotional tour of “The Other Side Of Make-Believe”, a new work that the formation of Paul Banks, Sam Fogarino and Daniel Kessler has released this year.
Interpol changed focus after ‘Marauder’. If there they were more aggressive, here we find them more melancholy
Four years after their last LP, Interpol have released their long-awaited seventh studio album: The Other Side Of Make-Believe. Plus, this year, which marks 15 years of her Our Love To Admire and also 20 years of Turn On The Bright Lights, is a big time. Far from repeating the formula, and even after two years of the pandemic, they bring a renewed sound without losing the original brand of the band.
The album is a sign that the band has been able to adapt to the new times. Banks commented that the process of creating The Other Side of Make Believe was totally different, having to integrate the different instruments and voices in layers instead of playing them all together. This involves more difficult production work but also creative work, as it allows greater control of each sound layer, moving from minimalism to complexity without difficulty, a journey that is enjoyed listen after listen.
Interpol will visit Spain in early 2023 to perform in San Sebastián (February 14, Teatro Victoria Eugenia), Santiago de Compostela (February 15, Sala Capitol), Santander (February 19, Santander Stage), Madrid (February 20, La Riviera ), Barcelona (February 23, Razzmatazz), Murcia (February 24, Mamba!) and Malaga (February 25, Sala París 15).
