The Ensamble Barroco de Arequipa, made up of the talented sisters Lopera Quintanilla, will delight the public with a thematic program of French, English and German music by great composers from the time when sonatas, concerts and opera were created: the Baroque period . Thus, they will perform compositions by musicians such as Haendel, Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann and Latin American music.
In addition, on this occasion, on the occasion of the Bicentennial of Peru, they will offer a program dedicated to the vocal and instrumental music of the Peruvian baroque period as well as European baroque music inspired by our country, such as the instrumental suite of the opera Los Incas del Perú del Peru. French composer Jean Philipp Rameau. The Concert will be in charge of the flutist Alejandra Lopera Quintanilla, director of the Ensamble Barroco de Arequipa, along with Pilar Lopera Quintanilla on the harpsichord.

THE BAROQUE ASSEMBLY OF AREQUIPA
The Arequipa group, formed in 1991 by its director still of school age, began as a group of friends with a common taste for baroque music and an interest in performing historical performances of music. Since then the group has offered several annual concerts in the main auditoriums of Arequipa, Lima, Tacna, Cusco and abroad. It has been presented successfully in several editions of the International Renaissance and Baroque Music Festivals. Along with the Ensemble Barroco, renowned musicians such as the North American baroque violinist Jhon Pruett, the Argentine baroque cellist Danilo Grimoldi, the Cuban cellist Miguel Reina de la Torre, the gambist María Eugenia Codina and as well as young and talented local musicians have performed.
