“The vaccine arrived a year ago, it only has two phases of research, normally there are 4 phases. It was not investigated, there are no serious scientific publications in children. Time has passed, it’s probably not that bad. If people want to wear it, they can wear it. We received 100,000 vaccines a year ago, after 4 months they expired, they sent a letter from the Federation to continue applying them even though they had expired for 18 months,” the doctor noted.
“Of those 100 thousand doses, only 35 thousand have been applied. Now, they have just received 450 thousand more to carry out an inoculation campaign. People have rejected it, we make it available to them,” she indicated.
“They produce the Abdala vaccine and on the insert it says that it is more than 90% effective. That cannot be, because no vaccine has that percentage of effectiveness. There is no serious study that supports it as reinforcement,” said the state official.
The vaccine was designed to combat the original Wuhan virus and the new biologics must attack the latest virus strains. The World Health Organization and other international health organizations have not endorsed it, and the same is true of the Sputnik V vaccine from Russia, which is not internationally certified. Both biologicals were acquired by the Federal Government to apply them in Mexico.
Bernal Gómez highlighted that Coahuila obtained the bivalent Pfizer vaccine, “the best in the world right now.” And he pointed out that “every day, until September of next year, on the international bridges of Acuña and Piedras Negras, they will apply a thousand daily doses in each place.”
“It’s for people over 18, take advantage, it’s free, no visa is required, it’s on the American side,” he said.
He stated that if any adverse situation is recorded in the vaccination of children over 5 years of age, with the biological Abdala, it will be the responsibility of the Federal Government.
