President Joe Biden’s concerns about artificial intelligence were heightened after watching the movie “Mission: Impossible: Reckoning: Part One.” This was reported in the White House.
On Monday, Biden signed an executive order governing the development of artificial intelligence, saying he wants to prevent AI from making social media “more addictive” or encouraging fraud, The New York Post reported.
The president noted that he had seen a deepfake video of himself, using the term to refer to increasingly common and convincing doctored videos. Biden’s concerns, according to a White House official, grew after he watched the latest thriller with Tom Cruise.

And Wall Street is predicting the destruction of 300 million jobs and entire professions, from taxi drivers to journalists, due to AI. The establishment in Washington, in turn, fears that China will overtake America in the AI race.
“The Middle Kingdom is already a leader in 37 of 44 key technology areas. And in China’s military budget, 1-2% is spent on AI development, while the Pentagon only has 0.1-0.2%. Drone swarms, fighter jets, next-generation submarines will all use AI. So falling behind in this race is fraught, but social consequences are no less important, with unemployment soaring. They can lead to such shocks that will bypass everything that is shown in Hollywood,” the expert sums up.
