We express concern if the CPC (Commission for the Protection of Competition) does not justify itself and does not make a comment on the Bulsatcom transaction. This was stated by the co-chairman of “We continue the change” (PP) Kiril Petkov, after information about his meeting with Spas Rusev came out in recent days. Petkov spoke after the PP warned that he would make an extraordinary statement and it would be broadcast live (VIDEO) on the official party Facebook page.
When asked what worries Petkov – whether there will be a consolidation of the market or something else, he replied that the composition of the CPC has expired and therefore, according to him, there is no weight in making such decisions. I am worried, this composition of the CPC has made “quite dangerous decisions in the past”, said Petkov, speaking of “consumers”. “It is about touching thousands of Bulgarian citizens and the prices of their television,” he added.

Today, “Mediapool” published material about the deal with the statement that the CPC will make a decision tomorrow, February 1. The deal with “Bulsatcom” already has disputes between telecommunication operators, including before the court: Both A1 and Yettel reacted sharply and want the CPC to stop the deal for “Bulsatcom”
Petkov promised “very quick reform” in the CPC. When asked why there was such a long wait, since the composition of the CPC has already been working for 2 years beyond its mandate, he did not answer directly, but said that there was no need to wait any longer and the replacement of the CPC became a priority – there would be a conversation tomorrow “with the colleagues of GERB”.
The war with the president
There are speeches from morning to night on some twisted topics, Petkov pointed out. When asked if Delyan Peevski was right when he said that the presidency was a dark institution full of cash, Petkov replied that since there were no working offices, there was no point in “passing the ball from morning to night”. No one can be a direct judge in front of the microphones, he insisted: “People want cases.”
We are not interested in who is who, but to work transparently, everyone to be afraid, dealing with corruption. There should be a real investigation into the “Silk Road”, explained Kiril Petkov.

Petkov pointed out that there is concern in the PP that “Vazrazhdane” is rebranding itself as a conservative party. I hope this will not mislead GERB, said the co-chairman of the PP.
