Concept imagine iPhone SE inspired by the supposed “iPhone 14” – MacMagazine

O iPhone SE was always easy target of several concepts that promise the cheapest smartphone from Apple a renewed and more modern design. Despite more recent rumors indicate otherwise., it doesn’t hurt to dream, isn’t it?

The following concept was created by the designer MEHDI, for the channel ConceptsiPhone. In it, an iPhone SE was imagined with flat sides, a screen with a camera hole-punch and presumably a Touch ID on the side button.

On the back, we only have a camera encased in an elongated bump with the flash and the microphone — somewhat reminiscent of the iPhone X era. The designer also envisioned a variety of six colors for the device.

In addition, just pay attention and you’ll notice that the designer was even inspired by the renders of the supposed “iPhone 14”, published by Jon Prosser — which also include flat sides and a glass going to the sides — to the iPhone 4.

In relation to hole-punch, many believe that this is the future of Apple smartphones. Some weeks ago, Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the iPhones “14 Pro” and “14 Pro Max” should come with this new feature — but that the iPhone SE won’t see any significant changes next year.

Some analysts still believe the iPhone SE could get a bigger update in 2023, this time with a 6.1 inch screen and hole-punch, but nothing indicates that in 2022 this will happen.

Either way, it’s hard to imagine Apple completely redesigning its more affordable lineup, as to this day it has always used “recycled” designs. But… in the end, it doesn’t hurt to dream.
