Mexico City. Given the devastation left by the hurricane John As it passed through the state of Guerrero, the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur) asked the authorities to initiate the plan to bring the help that that federal entity needs.
“The magnitude of the meteorological phenomenon has triggered a humanitarian crisis that demands an immediate and coordinated response to care for those affected and restore essential services in the region,” said the organization directed by Octavio de la Torre de Stéffano.
He noted that he has called on his members to collect products such as water, rice, tuna, medicines, diapers, hygiene items and tools for removing debris, among others at the collection center of the top organization and in other National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism from different regions.
Given this, he asked the authorities to provide support to bring help to families who are helpless.
De la Torre de Stéffano reaffirmed the commitment of the tertiary sector to the population of Acapulco de Juárez, so that businesses maintain fair prices on essential products, guaranteeing equitable access to food, water and basic necessities during this emergency.
In addition, the business organization committed to supporting the commercial, tourism and services sector, essential pillars for the economic recovery of Acapulco.
Concanaco also asked the authorities to reinforce security measures to prevent acts of looting and protect both businesses and the affected population.
