It is important to remember that the municipalities, through their official social networks, have been reporting on the workshops for people with disabilities that they will offer this summer.
With the arrival of summer 2024, the National Council for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (Conadis) recommends the various workshops promoted by the Municipal Offices for Attention to People with Disabilities (OMAPED), in Lima and Callao so that the little ones of the house continue to enhance their talent to the maximum. In this context and with the aim that girls, boys and adolescents with disabilities can also enjoy these recreational spaces.
It should be noted that each OMAPED has autonomy in the offer of workshops, requirements to present and start dates. Here we leave you some options:
· OMAPED Comas
In North Lima, the Municipality of Comas will offer a range of free workshops for children and young people with disabilities, among which: art therapy, soccer, handball, crafts, occupational therapy, modern dance, language workshop, among others.

· OMAPED San Martín de Porres
Meanwhile, the Municipality of San Martín de Porres has already announced its call for gastronomy, modern and traditional dance, theater and cajon, music and swimming workshops. They are completely free and aimed exclusively at girls, boys and adolescents with disabilities.
To register, you can go to the district’s OMAPED, located on Germán Stiglich Street, block 22 (San Martín Ecological Park – Former Mayta Cápac), carrying your son or daughter’s Conadis card or disability certificate. Start of classes: January 18.
· OMAPED Jesús María
If you want to instill in your son or daughter a passion for theater, the Municipality of Jesús María will carry out this completely free workshop, as well as painting and recycling courses, northern marinera, mini chef, costume jewelry, athletics workshops, among others.
You can still request a vacancy by presenting your DNI at the OMAPED office, located on Av. Horacio Urteaga block 5. For information, contact the telephone line 614 1212 (Annex 3012).
· OMAPED Miraflores
If your son or daughter wants to learn karate, the OMAPED of Miraflores offers this and other workshops such as Creole dances, music therapy, futsal and psychomotor skills. Registration is open and you can request information through the telephone line 755 0099 (Annex 7552), or at Malecón Armendáriz 125.
· OMAPED Surquillo
Swimming in summer will always be a good option. For this reason, the Municipality of Surquillo, through its OMAPED, will carry out this workshop, in addition to full body and psychomotor skills.
For the procedures, you must take your son or daughter’s DNI, Conadis card or disability certificate to the Municipal Physiocenter, located at Av. República de Panamá 4299. There is still time.
· OMAPED La Molina
The Municipality of La Molina still has vacancies available for children and young people with disabilities who wish to learn reading and writing (basic, intermediate and advanced), embroidery and knitting, rhythmic gymnastics, baking, among other workshops.
You can register your son or daughter at the OMAPED location, located on Martín Alonso Pinzón street, block 1, Urb. Santa Patricia – Third stage. For information, contact 987 913 498. Start of classes: January 15.
· OMAPED San Luis
In San Luis, free workshops on screen printing, cajon and tap dancing, singing, crocheting, swimming and more are available for children and adolescents with disabilities. Registration is simple and can be done at the Municipal Library, located at Jr. La Capea 180 – Urb. Villa Jardín.
For information, you can contact 994 352 986. The commune reported that they will receive registrations until January 19.
In Callao
· OMAPED Bellavista
In the Chalaco district of Bellavista, children and youth with disabilities will be able to take part in the Psychoballet Down workshops, music therapy, swimming, English and various adapted sports that the commune has been providing free of charge. To register, you must go to the OMAPED House, located at 166 Enrique Ginocchio Street, Urb. San José, or by calling the number (01) 743 9696 (Annex 246). Start of classes: January 15.
· OMAPED Window
Meanwhile, in Ventanilla, families can enroll their children with disabilities in the inclusive workshops that the municipality has been offering, such as: sailor, drawing and painting, drawer, recreational games and more. For reports and registration, you can go to the Casa del Adulto Mayor, located on Av. Pedro Beltrán, at 9th Street.
