Conade. SFP dismisses deputy director Israel Franco Benitez

The Ministry of Public Function dismissed the deputy director of Quality for Sports of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade), Israel Francisco Benítez Morteo, for the improper provision of lodging, food and use of the Villas facilities Tlalpan, to people who were not high performance athletes.

The Area of ​​Responsibilities of the Internal Control Body at Conade certified the violation of the obligations contemplated in the General Law of Administrative Responsibilities by Benítez.

The official offered lodging, food and use of the facilities of Villas Tlalpan, to people who were not part of the National System of Physical Culture and Sports (Sinade) nor from the National Registry of Physical Culture and Sports (Renade).

“The services were requested by two public servants subject to the supervision of the Deputy Director of Quality for Sports, who the sanction was imposed taking into account the recidivism and the hierarchical level, as well as the appropriate conditions for individuals who take on public tasks, ”the agency explained in a statement.

In this regard, Secretary Irma Eréndira Sandoval stated that “the public service should not be taken as a privilege, but as one of the highest social responsibilities ”.

He affirmed that public service “requires probity, professionalism and commitment to the care of public resources.”

He said that in the current government, public servants must have moral courage and technical training to carry out their assignments, in order to offer a good service to citizens.

During 2019, several investigation files were initiated and seven audits were carried out on Conade, in which 22 observations were determined, as indicated in the 2019 Inspection Report of the Public Function.
