The mayor of Zone Alessandro Aggio sums up a particular year, marked by the health emergency.

“We were very lucky in the first wave, but unfortunately the virus came to us in this second one,” said the mayor. “Fortunately, in the current state of the situation, there have been no reported cases of hospitalizations among citizens but attention is and must remain high”.

Thinking back to this year’s activities, certainly a great milestone was reached by the strengthening of the general medicine service: “Fortunately this year we were able to achieve this goal, offering an additional clinic and also meeting the Ulss which has enhanced the service by adding a doctor. It was a very important improvement of the service especially in the Covid period, much appreciated by the citizens – underlined the mayor -. The regulation of citizens’ consultations has been activated, a popular consultation body never activated before in Cona, and once the fog of Covid has been released, we could start with their constitution and start the meetings “.

“The chief accountant, present in the previous administration, has left after many years of service. This put us in difficulty, being the accounting area of ​​vital importance for the Municipality, and losing such an important figure still means creating an imbalance in the various areas that cannot be resolved overnight – Aggio is keen to emphasize -. This imbalance led to the need to concentrate greater efforts and energies on the internal organization of personnel. Fortunately, we were able to identify an internal figure who can replace the accounting manager. I would like to emphasize this because perhaps from the outside they are problems that are not perceived, but if the balance within the Municipality does not work well, then it is not possible to best express the services for the territory “.

Finally a wish: “To all citizens I wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I ask them to make one more last effort to respect the rules, in order to be able to eradicate the virus and avert the third wave danger. All together we will do it! ”.
