Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – The University Hospital Freiburg struggled with server problems on Saturday. After about three hours, all programs worked again, as press spokesman Benjamin Waschow announced. The disruption meanwhile meant that no patients could be admitted. “A hacker attack can be ruled out,” it said in a statement.
Programs with patient data were affected by the disruption. According to the information, the processing of patient data in intensive care units was secured via local servers. The care of patients who are being treated as inpatients was therefore also guaranteed.
