The website of Promutuel Insurance remains inaccessible ten days after the cyberattack of which the insurer was the victim.
Joined by the Insurance portal, the insurer indicates that it is continuing its investigation.
“In order to quickly re-establish communication with our members and to continue to offer them all the support they need, we have indeed set up telephone lines so that they can communicate with us. That said, an in-depth investigation is still underway and we will have the opportunity to take stock when new information or developments become known ”, indicated Kathy Labbé, communications advisor at Promutuel Insurance in an email to the Insurance portal.
Since December 12, the insurer’s site has displayed the same message. “Promutuel Insurance’s computer systems are currently out of order. Our teams are hard at work to restore the situation as soon as possible and shed light on the situation. Further details will follow. Thank you for your understanding ”, we can read there. A phone number for those who need to make a complaint accompanies it all.
Since then, Promutuel has however added the telephone numbers of its 17 mutuals, as well as that of the shared service center (CSP) on the shores of Montreal. An advice sheet indicating how to identify your mutual from your insurance contract accompanies everything.
In addition, employees of the insurer have not regained access to their mailbox. The spokespersons of the insurer with whom the Insurance portal met did so via addresses Gmail or Hotmail.
