Computer experts around the world are fighting to close giant security holes

A critical vulnerability in a popular software tool is called one of the biggest security threats in several years. Efforts are being made to solve the problem.

A giant computer security flaw has been detected.

– The Internet is on fire right now, says Adam Myers in the computer security company Crowdstrike. The vulnerability, dubbed “Log4Shell”, is ranked ten out of ten on the scale of the Apache Software Foundation, which handles the software.

– People work hard to fix the error, while others work to exploit it, Meyers says. He says that computer criminals have already developed and distributed tools that can exploit the vulnerability.
