Bahraini insurance operators are considering adopting compulsory health insurance for the 600,000 expatriates. The law notifying this insurance obligation was published in May 2018 but has not yet been implemented by the authorities.
The government’s objective through the introduction of the compulsory scheme is to boost the health insurance activity in the country.
