The Comptroller General of Accounts published on October 31 in the Diario de Centro América the agreement A-081-2023, which creates the Computer System for the Registration and Verification of Middle Level Academic Titles and Diplomas, issued by the Ministry of Education.
With this new regulation, intermediate level students will be able to register their degree online, but they will also do so in person. For the digital or electronic modality, those issued from 2008 onwards will apply, for those issued before 2008 it will be done in person.

According to the agreement, to register a mid-level title it is not necessary to create a user on the CGC web portal.
The cost of the procedure also underwent a modification. The prices for the registration or authorization of a mid-level title or diploma will be Q100. Before the cost was Q11, so there is an increase of Q89.
The Comptroller’s Office ensures that people will not have to spend on gasoline or transportation. They will not have to sit in traffic or risk going to zone 1. They will save time because they will not have to make an appointment. Other prices for degrees and diplomas
The value for the titles or diplomas of technical careers and university diplomas will be Q100, previously it cost Q16.50. For bachelor’s degrees, military and police offices the price is Q200, previously they were worth Q55.
The agreement now creates registration for master’s and graduate levels. This registration will cost Q300, while the doctorate registration will cost Q400.
Certificates of registration of titles, academic diplomas or military and police offices will have a cost of Q50, an item that was not specified and it was only mentioned that other certificates and certifications had a value of Q33.
