Comptroller installed the Advisory Council of the Corruption and Functional Misconduct Index (INCO)

With the participation of prominent figures from the academic field and civil society, Comptroller General Nelson Shack installed the Index Advisory Council of the Index of Corruption and Functional Misconduct (INCO) tool, which will be the autonomous and ad honorem advisory body that will recommend actions and/or proposals to improve the scope and institutionalization of said digital resource and strengthen social control and the fight against corruption in the public sector.

The Advisory Council is made up of personalities with recognized academic and professional experience, related to issues of transparency, public integrity, innovation, technology and anti-corruption matters.

The members of the advisory body are: Roque Benavides Ganoza, dean of the Lima Departmental Council of the College of Engineers of Peru (CIP); Elsa del Castillo Mory, researcher at the Pacific University Research Center; Yamilet Serrano Llerena, director of Data Science at the University of Engineering and Technology – UTEC; Álvaro Henzler Vernal, president of the Transparencia Civil Association, and Diego Macera Poli, director of the Peruvian Institute of Economics.

In its first meeting, the results, scope, main findings and conclusions of the Functional Corruption and Misconduct Index 2022 were presented to its members. Likewise, the proposal of indicators for the preparation of INCO 2023 was presented, explaining the changes in the methodology. and its importance for measuring corruption and functional misconduct in the country.

For the Comptroller General, the presence of these distinguished members of the Advisory Council guarantees the diversity of perspectives and knowledge necessary to contribute effectively to the INCO tool.
