Stade Rennais: Against FC Nantes, Genesio puts his eleven type
Match day for the SRFC, which faces the FC Nantes this Wednesday at La Beaujoire, for a summit meeting. More than just a pre-season friendly match, this Western derby will allow the two teams to gauge each other before the opening of the championship in early August. Whether Bruno Genesio intends to line up his standard team for the occasion, the Breton coach will once again have to deal with an experimental defense. Still without a recruit since the departure of Nayef Aguerd at West Ham and deprived of Warmed Omari, injured, Stade Rennais should start with Baptiste Santamaria and the young Guéla Doué (19) in central hinge.
But the meeting against Nantes could be the last of the SRFC with this defensive composition. On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the Rouge et Noir completed a total agreement for the arrival of the Belgian international Arthur Theate. The promising defender of FC Bologna should commit by the end of the week in Rennes. Good news for Bruno Genesio who is however awaiting another reinforcement in this position.
