Fumigation against the dengue transmitting mosquito, health insurance, Covid-19 sampling and vaccination are part of the institutional offer that will serve the community.
Following the guidelines of the mayor Virna Johnson, the District Health Secretariat in coordination with the Office for Risk Management and Climate Change -Ogricc-, brings a comprehensive care session to the community of Guachaca, affected by the recent floods caused by the second winter season.
The activity will be held this Saturday, December 19, at the District Educational Institution -IED- of the Puerto Nuevo village, jurisdiction of the Guachaca district, from 8:00 in the morning, however, from 5:00 will carry out a day of fumigation against the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
“We are ready to respond to the call of the Guachaca community to provide health services on Saturday, December 19 and in this way to help solve and attend to their needs caused by the flooding of the Guachaca River, in this way we will be present from 5:00 in the morning with a fumigation to prevent diseases transmitted by vectors such as dengue, Zika, chicunguña and others, ”said Henrique Toscano Salas, District Health Secretary.
The programs that are part of the day are: Vaccination for children and adults in influenza and HPV, taking glucometry, pulse oximetry, oral hygiene, also prevention of cervical cancer and breast cancer, promotion and maintenance of health for all chronic pathologies such as hypertension, diabetes and others, mental health programs, canine and feline vaccination. Additionally, the Santa Marta is Health and Life program will be conducting an epidemiological census and implementing the PRASS strategy for the care of COVID-19 from home to home.
A medical team from the State Social Enterprise -ESE- Alejandro Próspero Reverend will be present at the conference, conducting medical consultations for health care to the entire population.
The activity will also provide the health affiliation service to the entire unaffiliated population, including migrants with a special residence permit in force. Likewise, a UNHCR official will attend to the migrant population that has not legalized their stay in the country.
In addition, the Office for Risk Management and Climate Change will hold an awareness day for the prevention of disaster risk
It should be remembered that all these services are free for the entire community. Attendees are recommended to comply with biosafety protocols to avoid contagion of Covid-19.
