This Wednesday, an intensive comprehensive cleaning operation was carried out in the areas of Quilmes Oeste and San Francisco Solano, within the framework of the “Quilmes Limpio” program, promoted by Mayor Mayra Mendoza since the beginning of her administration with the aim of having a cleaner and more sustainable city.
The tasks carried out in Quilmes Oeste included the collection of branches, cordoneado, sweeping and weeding on Laprida, La Plata and Calchaquí avenues, as well as in the perimeter between La Plata and Urquiza avenues and from Triunvirato to Laprida. These works were carried out by 30 workers from the Public Services Secretariat, headed by Sebastián García, and they had weed trimmers, blowers, trucks and a backhoe, among other machinery and elements.
Meanwhile, on Necochea Street between Triunvirato and Laprida, in the Colonia neighborhood of Quilmes Oeste, 10 workers from the aforementioned municipal portfolio were collecting branches and bulky waste using a truck and a mechanical shovel.
In turn, 20 workers from the San Francisco Solano operational base worked with weed trimmers cutting grass, clearing and sweeping along 850 Street from Las Piedras stream to the Urban Corridor of that town.
Also during the day, unclogging and drain cleaning tasks were carried out at the following intersections: 330 bis and Acha, in Quilmes Oeste; Dardo Rocha between Los Andes and Montevideo, in Bernal Oeste, and at Zola and Primera Junta, in Quilmes Este.
