According to the musicians, this concert lecture is an educational, musical story about the events of Latvia’s history in the struggles for freedom of Latvia, remembering and honoring all those who have won an independent state of Latvia.
“As the presence of culture and music is also very important in the context of historical processes, excerpts from the rock opera by Zigmars Liepiņš and Māra Zālīte will be performed in this concert lecture. Lāčplēsis, music from movies Nameja ring, Vella servants, Blow, winds, Erika Eschenwald Song of the soul; as well as patriotic music created by other Latvian composers, “says composer Jānis Ķirsis. The musical message of the concert lecture will be supplemented by historical photographs and video fragments.
