2. Liver abscess

If the parasite reaches the bloodstream, it can spread throughout the body and end up in the liver causing a liver abscess.

Liver abscess occurs when there is a lump of pus in the liver. Apart from infection, liver abscess can also occur due to injury.

3. Amebiasis paru

The parasite that causes amoebic dysentery can also spread to the lungs through the rupture of a liver abscess.

When we breathe air that has been contaminated with Entamoeba histolytica eggs, these complications can also occur.

Pulmonary amebiasis can cause symptoms of pain, cough, hemoptysis, and dyspnea.

4. Peritonitis
