“I believe that Jessica will be able to compete (in the next championship). We will also need her for the relay. After Anterselva, she rested and started the training camp with us in Ridnaun. But then we thought that it would be better if she went home and gave is on the mend. Our medical team is working hard on it,” coach Egil Gjelland said on the association’s website.
Therefore, Eliška Václavíková will join the team on Wednesday, who will make her world championship debut. “She will arrive as quickly as possible. We need to have her available for the sprint,” added Gjelland. The main Czech hope remains Markéta Davidová, who defends the gold medal from last year’s endurance race, Lucie Charvátová and Tereza Voborníková also figure in the women’s nomination.
We discussed with coach Egil Gjelland how the girls are doing just before the start of the World Cup. Unfortunately, Jessica Jislová is still not well, so Eliška Václavíková will join the team tomorrow.https://t.co/ypZ6KYfQ1p

The last time the Czechs succeeded in the mixed relay was three years ago, when Eva Puskarčíková, Davidová, Ondřej Moravec and Michal Krčmář won bronze in Anterselva. The year before last, they were eleventh at the World Championships, last year at the Olympics they finished one place worse.
