Before returning from his third mission in space, former US Navy SEAL, Cassidy (50) via his Twitter account uploaded a blood sample image.
“How much does a trip back to earth cost? …. 8 tubes of blood !! The 7 shown in this picture were taken in the morning to be placed in our freezer, and the 8 will be taken for processing, immediately upon landing,” wrote fans of that sudoku puzzle.
While Vagner (35) on Wednesday (21/10) chuckled “Mama, I’m home.”
Their mission also coincided with the arrival of the astronauts who took off in May from the US mainland. Robert Behnken and Doug Hurley traveled to the space station in May and returned to Earth in August on the SpaceX spacecraft.
The mission, carried out by billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX company, is part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, which has prompted talk of a new “space race” between nations. Yet Russia’s Roscosmos, which has enjoyed a monopoly on travel to and from space since 2011 remains the fastest.
Between Moscow and WashingtonISS is a rare example of cooperation between Moscow and Washington, although crew members recently reported problems with oxygen production systems, toilets and ovens for preparing food.
But Roscosmos said in a statement on Tuesday that the issue had been “completely resolved by the crew.”
“All station systems work well and there is no danger to you or the ISS,” he added.
