Kupastuntas.co, West Lampung – Residents in West Lampung Regency are asked to be vigilant. The reason is, in 2021 there will be five residents who are infected with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or DHF.
This was conveyed by the Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the local health office, Ira Permata Sari.
“From January to December, it was recorded that five residents were infected with DHF. They were spread over three sub-districts,” he said when contacted via his cellular connection, Thursday (16/12/21).
Ira explained, as he is known, one case was found in February in Kebun Tebu District, one case was found in March in Sukau District, one case in June in Balik Bukit District, then another case was added in November and December with one case each.
With the five cases, Ira continued, his party is preparing a DHF alert letter to be distributed to 15 health centers in the Bumi Beguai Jejama Sai Betik district, including other related leading sectors.
“Everything starts with the cleanliness of the house, so everyone must always maintain cleanliness in their respective homes as an anticipatory step by draining and closing water reservoirs,” he said.
In addition, he added, the public must also understand what is related to fogging, because fogging is the last step in the prevention of DHF.
“To overcome and anticipate the spread of DHF, we through the Puskesmas have intensified the mosquito nest eradication movement or PSN,” he concluded.
