Sixteen officers of the Corps of Penitentiary Officers (KPA) in Suriname have successfully completed the first Senior Officers Training Program for Penitentiary Officers (HOPA). The group has received its diploma from Minister Kenneth Amoksi of Justice and Police.
The 16 graduates of the Higher Penitentiary Officers Training were promoted to Supreme Penitentiary Officers this week. It is worth mentioning that Imran Molai and Vidjai Hiera have also been appointed as Penitentiary Deputy Director.
Furthermore, Vice-Principal Joyce Pané-Alfaisi has been promoted and appointed as Penitentiary Director, while Penitentiary Officers Suresh Koendjibiharie, Barbara Ost and Chanderban Sewlall have been promoted and appointed to the rank of Penitentiary Deputy Director.
