Morelia, Michoacán.- The Michoacán Ministry of Health (SSM) invites the population to start or complete the schemes marked on the vaccination card during the First National Public Health Day, which takes place from July 10 to 21.
To this end, the 364 health centers in the state, as well as the Family Medicine Units (UMF) of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), and the clinics of the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), have vaccines against hepatitis B; tuberculosis (BCG); diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus (DTP); measles and rubella; Polio (Hexavalent); and against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). The latter only applies to girls between the ages of 13 and 14.
There are also doses against rotavirus for children under two months to one year of age, pneumococcus for adults over 60 years of age, and Abdala biologicals against COVID-19 for people over 18 years of age, just by submitting the printed and pre-filled form of the My Vaccine platform.
It is important that adults, adolescents, and minors present the National Health Card in the vaccination area. If this document is not available, it can be requested in the Health Promotion area of the medical unit.
Vaccination helps prevent serious diseases, hence the importance of participating in the First National Public Health Day, where in addition to vaccines, free medical consultations, nutritional diagnoses, oral check-ups, and detection of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension are offered.
