The MEP clarified that the information It will be protected by the Management Informatics Directorate and it will be used only by the Department of Disciplinary Management of the Human Resources Directorate, to verify the status of the civil servant as vaccinated or not vaccinated in administrative or judicial procedures.
The Human Resources Department may also access this information for the purpose of authorizing appointments, promotions or extensions.
“The public educational system is responsible for the safety of more than one million children and adolescents; but also as an employer, it has the responsibility of looking after the health of thousands of people linked to educational services by work, ”said Steven González, Minister of Education.
But the request will not only be for teaching and administrative staff. People hired by private entities such as education or administrative boards, who work regularly in an educational center, must present, once before the respective management, proof that they are duly vaccinated.
The parents or legal representatives of the students or any other private person, To enter the educational centers or buildings of the Ministry of Education, you must demonstrate to the person in charge of surveillance that you are properly vaccinated.
What about those who are not vaccinated?
The entity indicated that they will follow a process of awareness raising, instructions to get vaccinated and ultimately disciplinary measures.
Sensitization:
Each Regional Directorate must form a multidisciplinary awareness-raising team in order to carry out this process for civil servants in their region who are pending the complete vaccination scheme. This stage starts five business days after the verification period indicated above has expired.
Instruction to get vaccinated:
Once the sensitization stage has been passed, each civil servant who does not present the receipt to their headquarters to show that they received the first dose of the vaccine, will receive, from their immediate leadership, an official letter with the instruction to start or end their scheme. of vaccination as appropriate, within a period of five business days following the communication.
During this period, civil servants must be vaccinated or, failing that, present a medical document (opinion) indicating the contraindication; In case of not doing so, a new warning will be made to carry it out within three days of the communication, indicating that it is the last prevention in this regard and the consequences of non-compliance will be mentioned.
Disciplinary measures:
Once the period established in the previous point has expired, if the official maintains his reluctance to be vaccinated without due medical justification, the immediate leadership will have a period of five working days to send, in a certified way, to the Disciplinary Management Department, the individualized report of the actions established in this circular and the lack of compliance by the official.
