The head of the Pharmacists’ Union, Joe Salloum, wanted to “insure milk and medicines”, noting that “warehouses and companies will store medicines and milk, even if they will make an inventory of their goods at the end of the year”.
He added in an interview with Al-Jadeed: “The ‘Drug Index’ was released yesterday and we are concerned that there will be a comprehensive solution for medicine and the provision of support funds. The step that the Minister of Health has taken is “grateful.”
He concluded: “The problem lies with the partially subsidized drugs, and for their availability, the subsidies must be lifted.”
