Complete List of Non-subsidized LPG Prices Rising Starting Today All

KOMPAS.com – PT Pertamina (Persero) increased the price of LPG (liquified petroleum gas) non-subsidized household for types of Bright Gas 5.5 kg, Bright Gas 12 kg, and LPG 12 kg which are valid starting today, Sunday (27/2/2022).

Meanwhile, the subsidized 3 kg LPG price has not increased.

Acting Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Irto Ginting explained that price adjustments were made to keep up with the latest developments in the oil and gas industry.

The reason is, the price Contract Price Aramco (CPA) or Aramco’s contract price was recorded at 775 US dollars per metric ton, or an increase of about 21 percent from the average CPA price throughout 2021.

Irto added, with the adjustment, the price Non-subsidized LPG currently around Rp 15,500 per kg.

“This price adjustment has taken into account the conditions and capabilities of the non-subsidized LPG market, besides that this price is still the most competitive compared to various countries in ASEAN,” explained Irto in his written statement to Kompas.com (27/2/2022).

The price adjustment only applies to non-subsidized LPG such as Bright Gas or around 6.7 percent of the total national LPG consumption as of January 2022.

Meanwhile, for subsidized LPG 3 kg, the portion of which is more than 93 percent, there is no change in price.

“The price of 3 kg LPG gas still refers to the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the local government,” added Irto.
