All foreigners in foreigner shelters nationwide were tested negative for the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

According to the Ministry of Justice on the 10th, a full PCR test was conducted for all foreigners in 18 foreign shelters from the 4th to the 7th, and all 1065 people were judged negative.

From the 6th, PCR tests are also being conducted on all employees of shelters, including employees, social service personnel, security guards, and kitchen cooks.

As of 2 p.m. on that day, an inspection was conducted on 907 workers at Hwaseong/Cheongju Shelter and Yeosu/Incheon offices, and 797 were confirmed negative. The remaining 110 have yet to come out.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice issued masks to foreigners to wear from last March, and in November of the same year, it issued an order for regular wear. Last month, it was a rule to wear a mask in the same room.

Masks have been paid out from the previous two per week for protected foreigners, but expanded to three per week from the 5th.

The Ministry of Justice said, “In order to prevent overcrowding of shelters, we have been refraining from cracking down on illegal aliens as much as possible from the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.
