Complementary Health and Welfare in the Public Service: a historic commitment! (18-12-20)

You will find below (and in Enclosure) the press release n ° 9 of the CFDT Public functions of December 18, 2020, as well as the article of Public Actors of 12/18/20: “Complementary health: participation in 50% of public employers soon to be compulsory ”

For many years, the CFDT Public Functions has been calling for compulsory financial participation by public employers in the complementary health and provident protection of all public officials, whatever their status.

This will be done, gradually of course, but the threshold of 50% participation will be reached for everyone between 2024 and 2026.

The CFDT has also obtained commitments on maintaining solidarity, in particular with retirees who may be part of the scope of negotiated contracts.

The first effects of these commitments will occur from 2021 on provident insurance (upward revision of the death benefit) then, on payrolls, from 2022 for a lump-sum contribution to complementary health.

Long months of work are now beginning, on the basis of a rich social dialogue which will highlight the reinforced interest of the negotiations.

The CFDT would obviously have preferred that the territorial and hospital employers make the same commitments as the State to reach the target in 2024. The CFDT will be able to remind them and our teams will put all their energy to obtain the implementation of these advances for all and all as quickly as possible.
