Jakarta –
Multiple owners iPhone 14 and especially iPhone 14 Pro complaining about the battery, even though their cellphone is not more than a year old. So they report more wear and tear battery iPhone 14 Pro than expected.
Sam Kohl from AppleTrack tweeted that his iPhone 14 Pro has dropped to 90% max capacity from 100% when it was new. The drop was much quicker than the previous iPhone he had, and in the comments are many others with the same experience.
quoted detikINET from The Verge, Kohl later posted a video about the matter, saying it’s hard for him to recommend the iPhone 14 over the matter, especially considering it’s expensive. Officially, Apple says iPhone batteries are supposed to retain up to 80% of original capacity at 500 full charge cycles.
Wall Street Journal senior technology columnist Joanna Stern, also wrote that her iPhone 14 Pro shows a battery capacity of only 88%. Other complaints are mixed, with the two Pro 14s dropping to 93 and 91% and one at 97%. Whereas previous years, most had not seen a decline in capacity like this for at least two years.
Currently, it is quite expensive to replace the battery on the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro after the one year warranty has expired assuming the user does not have AppleCare. Last year the price increased by USD 30, from USD 69 on the previous device to USD 99.
There has been no official response from Apple regarding battery problems on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. There hasn’t been a satisfactory explanation for why the battery drains faster than it should.
It’s possible that features exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro, such as the Always On Display, have an impact on the overall battery health. The iPhone 14 Pro screen can also reach a peak brightness of 2000 nits outdoors, almost double that of the iPhone 13 Pro.
