Specialists have identified a list of the most unreliable gearboxes. It is believed that mechanical devices are more reliable in operation, however, among them there are unsuccessful instances.
Experts analyzed the situation with the manual transmission and gave recommendations to motorists which devices should not be considered reliable and should be avoided in their vehicle.
So, the worst option, according to experts, is the box Opel F17. This manual transmission appeared in wide use in the 90s of the last century. This device did not cause any particular difficulties when it was paired with a power plant with a capacity of 100 horsepower. However, breakdowns became much more frequent when installed on cars with more powerful engines.-
Next, on the second step of the anti-rating, is the Hyundai M56CF. This box was actively used in the zero years. She suffered almost the same set of defects as the German gearboxes. This is the destruction of bearings, leakage of oil seals, and also strong vibration during movement of the machine.-
