Two sporty motorists thought they were competing on the A7 near Marum on Friday 4 June. Unfortunately for them, police officers from Team Verkeer Noord-Nederland also took part in this competition.
Team Traffic Northern Netherlands shared a video of the speed demons on Facebook. A sporty Audi driver was the first to make the mistake: the measured speed was an average of 150 kilometers per hour.
Then the even sportier BMW driver came into play. It passed the Audi at an even higher speed: an average of 174 kilometers per hour.
Driver’s license recovered
Team Traffic claimed the driver’s license of the BMW driver. He will also be fined. The amount is determined by the traffic officer.
The driver of the Audi can also expect a hefty fine on the mat.
