John van ‘t Schip sees ‘competition’ emerging between Diant Ramaj and Géronimo Rulli. At the moment, the young German has a clear advantage, the Ajax coach hints.

Rulli, who has returned from a serious injury, was behind the bar with the B team on Saturday during the first meeting between Ajax and Hannover 96, which was lost 3-0. A day later it was Ramaj’s turn. Van ‘t Schip’s intended starting eleven came out on top this time (2-1).
“You could say that Diant Ramaj is our first goalkeeper, but he has to continue to prove himself,” Van ‘t Schip explains on the last day of the training camp in Spain, as recorded by Ajax Life.

The Ajax coach has a clear message for Rulli, who started the season as number one. “I said to Géronimo Rulli: If you think you should play, you should show it in training. There is that competition.” The Argentinian is reportedly open to a winter departure from Amsterdam.
