Luring actors from one state theater to another is not a violation of competition, according to the former head of the Council of Competition (KP), member of the 14th Saeima Skaidrīte Ābrama (P). On the other hand, both the experienced theater critic Zane Radzobe and the artistic director of the Latvian National Theater, director Elmārs Senkovs, in a conversation with “Delphi”, called the dispute between the Young Riga Theater and the Daile Theater about “brutal overbuying of actors” comical and childish, stating that young artists have free time under market conditions, have the right to choose which job offers to accept.
