Die Jury
The jury consists of well-known personalities from Berlin’s music scene who are independent of universities.
Repertoire
• a larger movement or several smaller movements from a Baroque work or an entire Baroque work for solo violin
• a complete sonata for violin and piano
• a violin concerto from Beethoven
Registration
To participate in the competition we charge a registration fee of 10 euros. The money will be transferred to the following account:

Registration for the competition consists of two parts
1. Fill out the registration form using the button below
2. Submit the following documents by email to the Artistic Office ([email protected]):
- Signed registration confirmation
- Copy of the certificate of enrollment
- Proof of transfer of registration fee

Prize money
The total prize money in 2024 is 3,500 euros. The jury will decide how the money will be distributed.
Conditions of participation
Violin students at the UdK Berlin and the HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin whose main subject teachers agree to their participation in the competition are eligible to take part. All prize winners are obliged to take part in the prize winners’ concert. This requires that the piano accompaniment is also available on this date.
